the year your focus comes home
Much of this year's work happens out of sight: settle things at home in the first half, then let Jupiter turn you toward romance and fun in the second.

The February 6 annular eclipse, on Lunar New Year, lands in your 10th house and can bring a new direction, title or role. Mercury then turns retrograde from February 10 to March 3, backing from your 11th into your 10th, so confirm emails, contracts and who does what before a new arrangement settles in. With Saturn in your 12th, much of your preparation happens behind the scenes: learning a skill, wrapping up old projects, with no need for everyone to notice yet. The August 17 penumbral lunar eclipse returns to your 10th, and by then you'll see more clearly what began in February. Mercury is retrograde again from October 7 to 28 through your 7th and 6th: put agreements with colleagues and partners in writing.
Uranus is in your 2nd house all year, so income and spending habits are both open to change: a new way of earning may turn up, and so may a bill you didn't see coming. The simple answer is a buffer you can reach quickly. In the first half, with Jupiter in your 4th, money tends to go on moving and furnishing, so set a budget before you start. Mercury retrograde from June 11 to July 5 backs from your 3rd into your 2nd: double-check transfers, refunds and bills. Jupiter squares Uranus on September 11 across your 5th and 2nd. If you suddenly want to splurge, wait a couple of days. Speculative bets are best left alone.
In the first half, love and home are tangled together. Mars is retrograde from January 10 to April 1, backing from your 5th into your 4th: irritation from a relationship can follow you home, and old family topics resurface. Sleep on it before you pick a fight. The February 21 penumbral lunar eclipse lands in your 5th and can make your real feelings about a relationship clearer. Once Jupiter enters your 5th on July 26 you'll loosen up: single Taureans are more willing to go out and meet people, and couples can plan something new together. The August 2 total eclipse in your 4th may put moving in together or meeting the family on the table — or someone at home may need more of your time.
With Saturn and Neptune both in your 12th, you need more sleep and more time alone than usual this year. Tiredness doesn't always show straight away, so don't wait until you're running on empty to stop. Keep a fixed block of empty time each week: no plans, no replying to messages. During Mars retrograde early in the year your energy may rise and dip, so stick to exercise you already know. When Mercury retrograde reaches your 6th in October your routine may get knocked about; leave gaps in your calendar. If discomfort persists or affects daily life, please see a qualified medical professional.
